The wonderful set of three unrestored Cappiello drinks and food posters from circa 1923 sold separately to the same US buyer underbid by a Dutch museum for a total of £11,690. Each had been estimated at £400-600 due to their original unrestored condition and unusual large size.
The posters had come to light from a house in Bedfordshire, having been bought by the vendors mother in Paris in the 1960's or a few Francs a piece. Not a bad return.
